Where is happiness? - Connection With You

In the beginning of time , several demons got together to make some mischief.

One of them said: “We have to take something from mankind, but? what do we take?”

After much thinking one of them said: “I know! Let’s take their happiness, but the problem will be where to hide it so they cannot find it.”

The first one suggested: “We will hide it on the top of the highest mountain in the world”, to which another one immediately replied: “No, remember they have strength, someday someone could climb and find it, and if one finds it, then everyone will know where it is”.

Later another suggested: “Then we will hide it at the bottom of the sea”, and another replied: “No, remember they have curiosity, someday someone will built some kind of device to be able to descend and then he will find it”.

Another one yet said: “Let’s hide it on a planet far from Earth”. And they told him: “No, remember they have intelligence, and someday someone will build a ship in which he can travel to other planets and he will discover it, so then everyone will have happiness”.

The last one of them was a demon who had remained silent listening carefully to each of the others’ suggestions. He analyzed each one of them and then said: “I think I know where to put it so that they will really never find it”. They all turned around astonished and at the same time asked: “Where?”. The demon replied: “We will hide it within themselves, they will be so busy searching for it outside, that they will never find it”.

Everyone agreed and since then that is how it’s been: humans spend their whole life searching for happiness without knowing they carry it within.
